Thread Starter
Hello people of Overclock.net! I have been a lurker here for some time and figure I would start a thread for my new PC build. Please don't hesitate to throw me suggestions and comments!

Parts (All bought from newegg, with the exception of my monitor and CPU):

Case: NZXT Tempest Evo (Digital Camo Edition) - $149.99
PSU: OCZ 550W Fatality - $64.99
MB: EVGA x58 SLI LE - $239.99
CPU: i7 930 - $218.97 (After Tax, microcenters)
RAM: 6 Gigs G.Skill 1600 - $149.99
VGA: Two x EVGA 768mb GTX 460's - $199.99 x2
HDD: WD 500GB Caviar Black - $69.99
DVD: Lite-on DVD/RW - $19.99
OS: Win 7 Home Premium 64bit - $99.99
Mouse: Logitech G500 - $59.99
Keyboard: Logitech G110 - $67.99
Monitor: 27" HP LCD - $250.00 (bought from work buddy who upgraded to a 40" TV)

On the List to buy:
SDD: 128 GB SSD - $250.00 (buying off same work buddy that sold me his HP LCD)

I will be uploading pictures once my case arrives at my house on Monday!

I am wanting to go with a Black and Red theme on the inside and I will be changing out all of the EVO's blue LED fans with red LED's.

What CPU cooler would you recommend?

h50 or the H70

The H70 is the best performing cooler on the market at the moment. I'm sad that I don't have one

EDIT - That PSU is a peice of shiz, get a better one. Go with the antec truepower new 650 or the Corsair HX/TX650

Well considering te psu is already sitting on the kitchen table I guess I'll try it out and if it is "teh sux" I will replace it. The pc I just built had a xfx black 750 in it and that thing was nice. I would get it again but I got it in a combo deal with a badass lanli case for like 200 and consisering my new case alone is 150 I did t want to spend another 150 onthe psu. I checked the reviews on it and they were mostly all great. But we shall see if it holds up the next purchase will be prob the h50!

THe H50 is great, the H70 is better. But I can completely understand that you don't wanna spend the extra for teh H70.

Sorry about the PSU thing

I'm sure it'll be fine, it's just not 100% ya know.

Either way, when you build this, remember to use the risers and stuff so you don't blow your new rig up . It's more common that you think tbh

It's really funny that you mention risers bc the rig I just built and sold (x58 sli le, i7 940, xfx 750 watt, 1 gtx 460 and ocz golds) would randomly shut off and it was bc of one of the screws in the riser was lose and was shorting out the mobo.

Are you saying people actually install mobo's without standoffs?

I think you are cutting yourself short with the harddrive for the same if not 10 dollars less you can pick up a 1tb drive. The 1tb f3 samsung drives are as fast if not faster than the blacks
