The Pentium D 805 is a awesome deal! It can be overclocked rather well, and it is cheap!

Just ordered 805 to upgrade my secondary 423 P4 1.8 PC w/ aging expensive Rambus memory. Hope it gets here quick and clocks high.

Can't beat the deal. Intel is where AMD was few years ago... giving it away to get you back with the dancing shiney cleanroom dudes.

all the smithfields suck because even tho the two separate cores are fast but the fsb is 533 (or really 133) so therefore multithreading would be a headache

plus its 90nm so expect alot of hot air to come out the back of your case

I disagree. They might run a little warm, but in no way do they suck, especialy for the price.

Yeah that 820 of mine ran pretty cool, not quite as cool as my lapped 820 but not hot at all. BTW glad to see my old trusty is chugging along for you!!

We can see when someone is completely in one camp of the industry when they flame owning an AMD or Intel.

I camp in the middle and whoever throw's me a bone gets my business. I don't play corporate favorites. If you make a good chip and sell it cheaper than the other guy... you are my favorite until the other guy sells his for less. It's all about the dollar's with them, so as a customer it should be as well. Don't buy into the Matrix.

Right now Intel is throwin bones big-time so eat em up while you can dawg. Arf Arf... Grrrrrrr ... Down boy.

LOL
