i want the best bang for the buck under 50$. card must be agp and overclockability is good. i am not a mega gamer i just want enough performance to run smooth graphics. or would it be worth it to get a cheap card when i have the onboard abit graphics, would it be much of a gain?

For that ammount i dont know what you are really looking to get. I guess you can get maybe a 9600 but even that will be around 80. Dont spend your money if you are only whilling to spend 50.

i was looking at:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Custra...82E16814129041
and the ones above the diamond
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...8&Order=rating
those look good too.
the reason i dont want to spend more is i need a card for general use. i will probably get a whole new system in a year as well. by then technology will have advanced even further. i'll buy a top end card in the future

dang yea, that gforce looks the fastest. so would i need to run activex instead of directx for linux? how would i change it?

would a 250 psu be able to take the card and it doesn't say the cards support linux, will they?
