Oh yea, this is why I am loyal to Corsair . It is fairly easy to get ahold of someone that can really help you. Keep up the good work Yellowbeard and Corsair.

i have 2 corsairs myself and have installed many others for my customers, I have yet to have a bad psu from corsair. I say you got the 1 off where you got 2 bad power supplies, don't write corsair off just yet.

Thank you looking into it. I just received the package 30 minutes ago. Upon opening it, all the accessories are included and the sticker has been installed correctly. I will be installing the new unit in the next 25 or so minutes. Will post here after I get some results.

Third unit is working properly, no noises and everything came included. So far I have tested only one card. I will get my other 2 gtx 470's installed shortly and look for any weird sounds. I don't see this being an issue because the previous unit made noises regardless of how many graphics cards were installed.

I am not sure if this has been mentioned before, but there is/was a bad batch of Corsair units distributed recently through Newegg. Had similar whine issues with a whole bunch of Corsair units purchased, but Newegg replaced them all without any hesitation.

I was kind of relieved and surprised as the representative didn't even bother asking me any questions. Just hey it's broken we will send you a new one. Great customer service there, but it makes you wonder if somewhere along the line, probably in distribution, someone literally dropped these units.

Corsair has awesome support. A few months ago my PC just shut off and it smelled like burning. I examined everything and couldn't find a source... But I believed that it was the PSU. So I made a thread on their forums, and after a day or so their tech responded and told me to RMA the PSU, and they'd send me a replacement.

It never happened again since then, so I didn't bother to send it in.

Either way, you'll definitely be sorted out.

Yeah, they will just say "RMA it then", awesome
