Of course I'll be testing my system with Oblivion when it finally arrives.

Here's the question: How far will I need to push this system to get Oblivion to work at full tilt? I realize that my vid card is the week link, so this might not be possible. However, I'd like to think I can push this budget PC to the limits and make it run Oblivion like it should be,

Whadya say?
You won't be pushing it far, even with an OC'ed 7600 GT. You probably might be able to get high image quality but with no distance.

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying that the system CPU/MEM won't need to be pushed much, but the vid card can't be pushed to deliver sufficient graphics for far away image effects? (Be patient, I'm kind of a noob.)

Sorry took so long to reply, busy day. Anyways what I meant was like, with the GPU that you have currently, you can get medium settings at the most at default distances settings but if you put all the distance settings really really low, you might be able to run it at high quality images/textures while at playable FPS. You don't really need to OC your CPU or mem for Oblivion. It's like 75% GPU performance.

For me:
Stock CPU clock at 2.6Mhz
Oblivion runs at 34 FPS

OC'ed CPU clock at 3.3 Mhz
Oblivion runs at 35-36 FPS

That not much of a difference at all, shouldn't bother with it. However, the CPU OCs make a difference only with the higher-end CPU like the E6600+.

Okay, well what do you think the best UI mod out there? This is just your own opinion.

Phinix Immersive Dark UI 1.2

You can find the link in my FAQ. I like it because it combines the best
of many of the UI mods that came before it in a single package.

Awesome, I was using the BTmod before, didn't like it too much, but the Phinix Immersive Dark UI 1.2 looks much better.......except for the color, but it's fine.

Hey dude, Phinix Immersive Dark UI 1.2 is awesome except that when I open up the in-game inventory, the menu is all messed up, like the items aren't what you highlight and the items aren't lined up either. Do you know what's up with that?

Check out the readme file. I believe you need to reset the font in the
Oblivion config file.
