Timmay, you nabbed are not appreciated. Maybe we could said AMD rips you off with low clock frequencies... Or their low L2 cache. Each company has different technology and different ways of achieving the performance level necessary. Please don't mindless bash Intel or AMD, it causes problems.

I really don't think these are ment for PCs. I think these are server processors. Kind of like you don't see Xeons in many PCs...

First off Conroe beats the FX62. Now if you put 2 Conroes together...
Very nice!

I'll wait for AMD's quad core, but good luck to all you future Conroe/this thing owners.
Heheh... could you imagine 256 Player BF2.....

Ok guys from the horses mouth.

No pricing on the quad cores as of yet.
Heat will not exced the standard single core (Explained using current laptop technology) and beleve it or not the 09 road map has 16 cores slated.

and the prospect is for 11 nM technology by 2016 and 8nm by 2020 That allows for a 128 core process for by 2016 and in 2020 a single chip that will hold 256 cores.

I can't say that I'm excited about it, as I don't even have a Double Core yet.

I'm waiting for Q3 when the 960 will be in the $300's range.

Quad-Core will be just a little too much too soon, IMO.

What's next? Dual GPU video cards? That I'd like to see.

P.S.; Paul, I'd give you a REP+ for post # 22 but it won't let me, something about I need to spread reps before I can give you another. Oh well!
