depends on your preference, on the layout of my case I have one in and one out all in all 3 intakes, 3 extracts.......

Think about the layout of your case, picture your airflow then work out whether it will be more beneficial to have extra air flowing in or more air flowing out. I have a custom air cooler which brings air in and really chills it off some heatsinks I fitted so I needed the extra out to compensate for any chance of condensation within my case, from the airflow I have I managed to take 7 degrees off my system temp, processor, and GPU and 4 degrees off my mobo

Play around see what you come up with when doing it though take into account your average room temp because if your fan is located next to your GPU or sound card you dont really wanna be blowing warm room temp'd air onto it

check what gives you the best temperatures. I know people tell me to have a rear exhaust, but with rear exhaust I get higher temps, and with a side panel/fan on I get higher temps than running no side panel. And I also get lower temps sucking air off the HS then blowing air on it.

The heat sink isn't a computer one lol its a one I ripped/carefully removed from a mini fridge, I custom modded it to an X2 3800 proccessor fan and a 80mm which I screwed into the floppy drive bay of my tower

I don't run a rear exhaust. The rear is blowing in the case and so is the front and side. The two suckers are the fan in the top and the psu. It seems to work for me.

just curious, has anyone tried rear intake, side intake, and front exhaust w/ or w/o filters on the rear in-takes. I was wondering but i lack the time and true patience of popping off my front panel and $#!^ to try it. lol

duno about that.. since hot air rises i think its better exhauts should be in the rear, since the fan is higher up
