7600gs...

How does the 7600GS compare to the 6800GS? I know the 7600GT beats the 6800GS by a somewhat significant margin, but the 7600GS has DDR2 and much lower core clocks. So, do you think the 7600GS would be worth the money and be a decent upgrade from a 6600GT, or would I be better off just going for the 7600GT?

I don't think thast the 7600GS would be much of a upgrade at all. A 6600GT can still hold it's own pretty well in most games, and the 7600GS looks like it's been crippled. Not even a fan on the HSF, and that tells you that they don't expect much from it. (I could be wrong, it might just run extremely cool.)

I'd definatly fgo for the 7600GT, or if you could save up a little more, the 7800GS.

EDIT:
If you check out this page, the 7600GS does beat the 6600GT, but not by enough to make it worth the upgrade, in my opinion.

No, I'm going to PCIe, if I go higher than the 7600GT, it'll be the 7900GT.
Anyway, that's kind of what I expected, just making sure.

Doh, no AGP GS... My bad. Hopefully I contributed something in there.

Yup, you backed up my thinking that the 7600GS was crap.
