Also, I don't think I ever told you guys, but 3 months ago my Corsair HX1000 PSU literally committed suicide after a power surge and killed a lot of the components in my build. Somehow an extremely high current was sent through the 24-pin motherboard the SATA connectors (despite it having over current protection). It killed 5 of the SSD's, the SR-2, and a GTX 580. Turns out that the 24-pin connector had such a strong current go through it that it literally melted onto the motherboard.

Unfortunately corsair was unwilling to pay for any of the damaged components as I was unable to "prove" that it was caused by their PSU. I ended up having to buy some of the components over again which caused a very significant delay in the process. Luckily I was able to save the SR-2 though after soldering on a replacement LED over the one that died.

I'd have to say that this was probably the weirdest and worst electronics incident I have ever had... but everything that was destroyed has been replaced and is now working.

Ahh good old reliable corsair and their outsourcing for manufacturing.

Glad to hear it is all up and running again, but it is sad to see it strewn across a bench. I hope the rest of the stuff arrives so you can put it all in a case so it's neat and tidy!

LOL are you serious? You honestly think that this is the only proof I have ever posted? I posted that same exact pic a few hours ago!

I'm not trying to be rude, but I just get really pissed off when people make false statements because they didn't even read my last few posts!

No, it's really not. If you don't have something nice to say, don't say it at all.

Perhaps you could name your build "A Glimpse Into the Future" after this thread. Who ever finished first gets the cookie
Awesome! Now I will just need to find out how much it costs to rent out a room

Now that is a very good name. I might just do that.

Yeah, I want to also! I just got out of Spanish summer school class so hopefully I will have some more time. (but then again I start calculus in about a week... hopefully it won't be too time consuming...)
