Lol... There is physical limitation. It is not only a matter of BIOs doh.gif

Also I am not sure you can ''bio hack'' a 580 into a quadro... Would like to see where you got that!
Quadro serie is specially made for professional 3D application. I don't see the point of going for a gaming build when the main objective is to make a workstation kookoo.gif
Don't fall in the trap of the troll. You don't need sub zero colling to do that lol he is just trolling you pretty hard guys!

I also think he is a total troll, but the bios hack does work... It will get around 90% of the performance as the quadro with the same CUDA count... Something that many people do is buy dual and triple bios cards, instal the hack on one, and pick the bios they boot depending on what thy will do... You won't get the best performance, but it's way cheaper then an actual quadro smile.gif... There should be a hack for and cards as well, but I've never used it

Ah that's good to know!

I got this from here: http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=787060&mpage=1

Dude, you got so much stuff wrong, I don't know where to start. So lets begin with the cost of Quadro cards. They are typically MUCH more expensive than their desktop counterparts, have much larger frame buffers (VRAM) and are not intended to be used as gaming cards. In fact if you tried to play a game on a Quadro card they would run much slower than it's gaming card counterpart.

Quadro cards are meant for graphical designers, animators, or CGI that use programs like MAYA or 3DSMax and other programs that are designed to help artists create 3D rendered art, games, movies, special effects...ect. That is why they have huge amounts of VRAM, You're not going to see a gaming card with 6GB per GPU of VRAM for a VERY long time. It's just not needed for games.

Still think if you were about to spend 28k on useless stuff such as sub cooling a workstation with denatured ethanol you would instead buy those quadro card. I am out of this thread, enough trolling thumb.gif

P.S. Not saying you are wrong! It does make sense to me but it doesn't convince me this kid isn't trolling us tongue.gif

The cost of quadro cards come not from the VRAM, but the team behind the drivers IIRC. That team is expensive to pay for. Same card(s) otherwise, much better support.

Yeah don't see the point of getting so many gaming cards if this is meant as a workstation. Either admit that you're just obsessed with an overkill gaming rig or trolling us.

Are people still thinking he is trolling?
Seriously guys he even made livestreams.... I don't know what proofs all you jelly haters want =/
@OP

Good luck and big respect for what you reached so far in live smile.gif
And that comes from someone who opened his own business at the age of 15.
Keep it up!
