I'd assume school funded. OP, is it "your" rig, or a rig to be used for school stuff that they're letting you build, and when you're done it gets passed down to some other student?

and where the heck do you get your internet??? if it really is as fast as your avatar shows..
I'm actually in high school... yeah... I'm just really mature, heck I'm even starting my own company already. I'm planning on going to MIT/Harvard and working on creating stuff like quantum light sensor pcb's in cameras if that matters to you.

The real reason why I'm even putting together this rig in the first place is because Henry Nicholas from Broadcom donated about 2 million dollars to my school's technology section, and they recently bought 3 50,000 dollar cameras that film in 6k (in other words OMEGA HIGH DEFINITION), but somehow still expect me to edit their footage (I'm the editor/graphics creator in the studio). And out of that 2 million they wouldn't even give me a single dollar for funding for this computer... it kinda sucks...

And yes, that is my actual internet speed. A couple mods to the cox modem and... 236MBPS!!!!

Most likely student grants and loans. I know how that goes, but I didn't use loans tho this was 3 years ago and I wasn't into PCs back then

As I said in my previous post, absolutely $0 in funding even though it's really their fault in the first place lol.

Ah crap, I meant UD9. It's late...

Though I think UD9 is still a bit better than the Rampage III Extreme.

Just make sure they dont bust down your door for the modem mods

From what I hear they will press charges of thousands of dollars.

nice build,
Thanks. But for phase change/LN2 on the UD9 don't you have to tweak it to get rid of the cold bug? Also you just cant beat the price point on the R3E. Also the SR-2 doesn't overclock as well as the R3E or UD9.

On air/water: UD9>R3E

On Phase/LN2: R3E>UD9

From a price to value standpoint: R3E>UD9

R3E wins 2 out of 3! Therefore it is much better!

jk, the UD9 is a great board, it's just that the R3E is better for my needs.

If you consider school credit the $22,000 annual fee that we have to pay then yes.
