good man OP, keep it up
glad that you did a research before buying, some people buy the best parts without knowing what they really need and end up wasting a lot of money on things they'll never use

can't wait for the next stream

I'm going to have to disagree with you there Greensystemsgo.. Building a computer is not common sense I would love to see your girlfriend go to NCIX/ Newegg and put all the items in a cart that she would need for a rig, probably would end up with a 775 board and a Phenom II X4 or something. If everyone could do it, then there would be no Dell, HP, Compaq, or Local computer stores.

I personally have to give the OP props for taking on such a big project for his first rig, but i do have one piece of advice to pass on from my experience, NEVER force anything in or out of your motherboard, nothing should really take any amount of force to remove or put in, its usually a sign your doing something wrong. The only thing i really witnessed you do wrong on the stream was prying the Ram out (I'm not even sure you were doing that wrong, because i don't have the same board but from the reaction of the people in chat, and the amount of force it took to get them out I'm guessing you were doing something wrong), but as long as it's still working, who cares Other than that, its probably a good thing you took your time insulating the board. If i had a rig that expensive i wouldn't be taking any risk's ether.
nah the gf understands that the word "socket" then with some numbers after it should match the board and cpu. its pretty common sense. I built my sig rig, minus the cpu cooler and video cards, with absolutly no help, and based solelely off of newegg reviews. booted right up first go. easy peasy.

Wow this is a total 180 from some of the car forums I'm on. Even the admins join in on the "trolling" on there in these types of threads.

It is pretty easy, I'm not going to lie, but its not common sense, didn't you say she has an HP? Why would she do that if she could just build one on her own? Like i said before, if everyone could do it, there wouldn't be any prebuilds or computer stores around. I know people that can't even install a hdd, it's intimidating if you don't know what your doing.

Ether way, this is getting off topic, and i really don't care how much common sense your GF has

No disrespect to OP at all here: But honestly...

IF this guy is super mega trolling us (missed any parts where he proved that this build was real, sorry) I would laugh so hard and fall off my chair and probably die...which would only better the world...so its still a good thing!
