Stallion!

I see you use the 1366 Kyros Cuplex .925 silver block for your cpu.

I opened a thread eartlier asking if someone could confirm for me if you can install this block on the Asus Rampage IV extreme.

It has the X-socket feature which allows you to switch out the LGA 2011 bracket for a 1366 one. But every waterblock is a litte different and i am worried that it will not fit/install properly on this Motherboard.

Can you or anyone you know confirm this for me?

I do not. I actually use the EK supreme, but had a custom bottom made from .925 silver. The kryos will install on ur mobo no problem, u just have to swap out the back plate with the alternate one comes with it.

4X 6970 Lightning with universal waterblocks, 3930K, Rampage IV Extreme, 4X4Gb G.Skill RipjawsZ DDR3-2400 CL9. Using 2 PSUs now, you can see the AX850 on top, and the Antec HCP-1200 is on the other side.

Still some cable management to do, but I'm getting there. smile.gif

That thing is awesomely ugly levesque! I like it.
post #1217 of 1472
@Levesque

I know this must be a silly question, but you mounted that 850 on top just using the screws that come with it? I mean only 4 screws can support its weight? Or some other support is needed?

I'm doing the extended ascension build. I've learned a lot from this thread. Awesome builds guys!!!

Im sure it can be supported by just those 4 screws but it might sag slightly. If you have an eye for that sort of thing it may bother you but Im sure its fine. Itll hold.

Thanks a lot XiDillon. Glad to know that it will hold.

I'm facing rather different problems right now btw. Leaks in the new loop, right on the bitspower rotary fittings. I'm discussing that in my build thread in Water Cooling.

Oh you mean like the FOUR that I have on mine? Like the ones that are impossible to even freaking turn? I had one leak from one of them and every time i turned the computer off I would get a hair dryer out and heat the #%*$ out of it in hopes that I would melt the hidden o-ring inside and stop it from leaking. It kept coming back though. It did eventually stop once all the hardware settled into place and nothing was stressed any longer. Im dreading having to deal with it again soon when I change my thermal pad out for tim.

ah, I actually have my rotary snakes in mind but same thing tongue.gif
