If anyone with a U2-UFO is willing to sell theirs, let me know. I am in the market for one: wrinkle or anodized black with SR-2 HPTX tray. I might also consider Ascension depending on the price.

As I am a new member, I cannot post in the market forum!

Thanks.

Right now, I am only intending to do air cooling. After all the money I have spent on the sytem, itself, I cannot pay more for a water cooling system.

May I know what soundproofing measures have you employed in your case?

I am thinking to use some (self-adhesive?) soft rubber tapes between the panels in order to prevent the vibration being transferred to the other parts of the system. I don't know where to look for yet.

Yes and no. There are too many variables, which include: blade design, rpm, bearing, 25mm v 38mm, etc. All of that affects the amount of air being pushed as well as static pressure. Fans that are good at moving lots of air can also have horrendous static pressure (which is incredibly important for watercooling). You have some research to do on fans wink.gif

vibration isn't that big of a deal b/w the panels. I used eggcrate foam from thefoamfactory.com and later swapped it out for 3/4" neoprene foam. The neoprene makes it nearly dead silent assuming that you also get quality fans with good bearings, not yates. Solid panels also help with keeping down noise. Windows really hurt that desired effect

I finally made the move and ordered my MM case: U2-UFO in black wrinkle. How can I officially become a member of the club now?

I ordered some extra panels and I am planning on doing some modding on some of the panels. So there will be two configurations and one of them is going to be quite unique in look! I will post pictures of the default configuration once it box is here.

Very nice setup. If this is not considered thread hijacking, I have a few questions if you don't mind:

1- What are those knobs at the bottom of your reservoirs for?
2- Why did you put a connections in middle of your tube?
3- Why two loops, two reservoirs, two pumps, etc. (you only have one GPU)? Was it a necessity or just for better performance?

Thanks.

1. Ball valves conected to a fillport in the floor case to drain loops easily without dismount ( see youtube vid ).
2. These are "Quick Disconnect". Fantastic and useful to dismount, fill, drain or purge loops.
3. It's not necessary, made only for fun, but i have great performance.

Bye
