Pedestal is a great idea, you keep the style, and get alot of return.

Nah I wouldnt like the split in the front.
I want the front of the case to look like one piece, Im thinking about getting the extension kit for it though

u2ufo extended is really in ascension territory. I was contemplating that one, but I kept configuring it and it came out to be a bit more than the standard ascension and close to the extended ascension, I said what the hell, so I gots the extended ascension. its a monster of a case. I thought I would have more than enough space, now Im planning some more upgrades and a pedestal will come in handy to store my pumps or additional hdd since I got the trinity and bay space is limited.

3 inches deeper would give me all the space I need.
Im thinking about making a custom rear panel however so I can have the mobo as close to the top as possible, that way I can make a fake floor on the bottom.

hey question, what fan screws are you guys using to put all your fans with grills or mesh in? my noiseblockers came with long (i think 6-32) screws but my scythe fans came with the standard stubby fan screw and i wanted to put grills with them on the exhaust openings.

The standard long chrome ones that I purchased from koolertek.com work for me
post #137 of 1472
I had to go to Fastenal to get special-order 6/32 screws that would make it through the front, fan, and shroud to hit the radiator. 55mm, iirc.

amazon has a ton of 6/32, m3, & m4 screws in many lengths and head types available. these are the most common radiator screws from what I have seen. Don't bother with hardware stores, including the big ones, unless they specialize in carrying these screws.

On a side note, I'm really digging the "horizon" option from MM, I just have to buy the rear panel, though I'm uncertain if they include the support braces. I'll send them a message. Im concerned w/ the strain on the mb as I have a cpu, mb, and two gpu blocks and probably a 3rd soon installed on it.
if you are ordering the horizon panel you have to order the support bracket as well. I believe it runs about 10 bucks.

still waiting on them to ship mine...2.5 weeks now...apparently they were out of stock on the bottoms for that long in black. They supposedly got fresh stock in last night. If I don't see a ship notice today I will be calling them tomorrow and asking them for an eta of when i might have my freaking case in hand. A bit ridiculous that they have not updated me when I ordered it said all was in stock. I vote free or expedited shipping at this point.
