Great idea ! I just evaluated my financial situation^^
Right now I would only be able to spend a max of 160€
That would grant me either 1x 1080 rad or 2 x 480 rads etc..combinations.
I am not sure ...I already have a Phobya G Changer 1.2 360.
The Phobya G Changer 1.2 480 are 80€ too and perform much better than swiftech...they are even on RX level
Considering my money situation a 1080 rad seems more reasonable because it would provide more cooling space for the money right?
I am thinking:
Front panel 90 degrees...(I have trinity so 3x360 options)
the front 360 option closest to the top will have my G Changer 1.2 360
the other two 360 options in the front will contain intake fans that will blow directly onto the mobo area.
If I put a 1080 rad in the top it would grant me the possibility to have the last three fans spaces that are right above the G changer 360 on the frontpanel to suck up the hot air the rad is exhausting.
Backpanel 360 option...the first two could be exhaust to get the rest of the 1080 exhaust air(will be push/pull so the air will be directed towards the exhaust fans ) and the last one for HDD cage.
And the two last fan spaces next to the mobo area could be like I said before buffer 120 mm fans to place in between the loop to score better temps
is that a plan?
Edit:just had another great idea inspired by your post.
What if I had 2 x 480 rads... the left side and right side of the top will be occupied by 480 rads and in the middle I could have exhaust fans sucking the hot air they produce right out ??Edited by Kung Pow - 2/20/11 at 5:35pm
