I'm not touching case labs. I just don't like their designs. The handles on the side panels kill me and so do the tacky cable management holes. I just don't think they're designed to hold rads the way I would like them to as well. I love my UFO w/ pedestal. I've put tons of work into it. It's definitely not worth moving everything out of it into a different case to make way for a more extreme one, so DD it'll have to be. LD just doesn't offer near as much cooling as I want. the two rads that can be fitted at the bottom seem too close together imo.

only option you really have is to make custom cables.

Stallion the LD can hold up to 3x480 rads and 3x120 if you have 2 slim rads then also another 2x120 slim rads

Cooling ability is almost overwhelming but the looks of it got me.
Radiator size is overrated but you know that all to well^^
More than 2x480´s will not lower the temps by the slightest, and Delta T 0 can be achieved easily:
I know you have tri 480´s but even then 2x480 would be overkill ...at a certain point radiator size just does not influence the temps anylonger and becomes redundant.

My 6950 CF will run considerably cooler so my 2x480 setup is extreme overkill especially considering my CPU at 4.09~4.1 GHZ with 1.21 Vcore only eats 90Watt at Idle and 130Watt at Load.
The two 6950 CF eat unlocked at max oc 367Watt together that would be 500Watt to dissipate ...I would even be fine with a single 360 rad and some extra cooling ability but like I said I like Delta T 0 Temps:)

Here the CPU:screen.jpg.png

So even though the LD provides excellent cooling options that wasn´t my priority when I decided for the case ...I took it because of its devine looks.
Absolutely no case can compare to the construction and material value of this case.
Not Case Labs, not DD and especially not MM.
That is the reason why the LD is so expensive because the material and craftship ist just absolutely out of this world.
That is what makes a case exclusive and unique and why I went for it.
Because at the end of the day the looks of your build are what really matters. And for a nice looking interior to pop you just need the appropriate skin for it:)

Yeah, I'm shooting for 3x 560 rads and 2x 360/280 rads (all black ice gtx series). LD won't cut it since the potential cooling ability will be a downgrade from my current setup. New work log here. Until i hit a <2c delta it's not overkill to me.

My god 4xMCP655 :doh:at setting 5 with that PSI you could produce your own electricity through a waterpowerplant:)
Why not 2x 35X with double the head pressure since the restrictivity of Project Liquid Death will be huge and be done with it?

Also you stated 2xEK Supreme HF is that gonna be a SR2 build?
A White/Black theme is always nice on pictures in daylight, very elegant and simple.
But once it gets night and most people with white/black put white LED in their cases it tends to look shaby.
So hopefully you have a plan for that:)

When my LD and other parts arrive I will start my Project Rapture:)
Then we can compete:P
But I can say now your res beats my Balancer 250 ...I took it because it was the only one fitting my silver nickel chrome theme:)
My 370 kicks your Supreme HF:P
RX and G Changer 1.2 vs Black ice also no question:P:P (not considering that you have 3 of themxD)
Your aquaero vs my heatmaster ...your win againxD
pumps are the same
RAM block is a waste in my oppinion but looks cool:)I cool mine on air with the Hyper X 12GB Cooler
Compression vs Barbs endless war^^
I got chrome 1/2" barbs which don´t require any clamps because they have rimmed edges ...that looks much cleaner in my oppinon and fat compressions just hide the block and other goodies:)
I got Gentle typhoons which perform better and are quieter but considering the amount of rads and fans it is understandable that you needed to cut somewhere.
Also I have recently made the experience of how much fans can really cost:)

All in all great build:)
I am very much looking forward to it:D

When we are both finished we can create a little vs poll;)

if u read any of the OP you would realize what parts are going in it and that the case will be black, everything will be black. There will also be dual loops, each with 2x mcp 655s. Get the kyros .925 if you want the best cpu block out there. It beats everything by a few C, but is $250 more expensive.

Kryos .925 is like waterbeds.

It is very pricey and nice to have them but at the end of the day you know you will sleep just fine without it.

Koolance 370 is also expensive but still in the range where I can say it is affordable.
It has the lowest pressure drop at 1 GPM compared to all the other blocks including the Supreme HF.
Thermally I am still not sure...I only have clean results with my 1080 rad that I had some weeks ago ...I measured some absolute temps with my 370 and RX480 in a single loop ....but those too aren´t acknowledged by most of the members since they beat the EK SHF as well.
I think thermally they are on par but over all the 370 wins because of the better and more sophisticated production values.
The Nickel plating is so pure you will never even have to think about flaking.
EK has a history of quality problems which is why I will never support them again.

I am sorry if I haven´t read the thread carefully enough I thought since you posted a white case you were buying one too:)

But the parts you listed look good!
Very nice.
I personally would have left the RAM block out and gotten some cheaper fittings in oder to use the money better for fan and shrouds instead but other than that it will be a charm:)

I will be happy to compare:D

People concentrate more more on looks and practical use and they don´t rely on overwhelming space anymore but only what they really need.
To save both money and time:)
Like Stallion said 1200€+ for a full Extended Ascension build is just not worth it in my oppinion.
I prefer to spend a little less on the case and a redundant number of radiator which I am forced to buy if I get such a case ...and rather invest that money in hardware:)

They whole BIGGER , BETTER hype is over in my oppinon^^
Now the people are getting more body conscious and esthatically orientated:D

IMO its really hard to compare LD, DD and MM cases .
1st off when ur talking about prices LD cases are extremely way more than a MM case $200+. Now granted im talking about a basic Ascension but it has the same features as a LD case would have. now since you were talking about the over whelming price of the MM case then it kind of shoots the LD case out the window. As for design and looks of the 2 cases its all in the eye of the beholder so i tend to never argue about which case looks better. Now i wont argue the fact that that the LD case has better cable mangement cause as we all know MM sucks in this department. Now if u look at the other spectrum of these 2 cases the LD is basically a bigger version of a pinicle26 with a standard MM case design in a sense that there is a top and bottom chamber to house components IE: psu rads etc. Now if ur going to compare the LD to any MM case it would have to be vs a pinnicle and in that case for ur money a pinnicle would be a steal $269 vs $599 is a no brainer.

2nd ive never really been a fan of DD cause its a fully acrylic case. Now dont get me wrong i have seen some pretty nice looking modded one but they just arent for me. as for price comparision there usually around the same price. so yet again its another which case u think looks good. now if u plan on putting a butt load of rads and so forth then the DD just cant handle but luike mentioned before u really only need so much RAD before it becomes a waste.
Now i know im extremly partcial to MM cause obviously i own one but ive also owned a DD case and the comparisions basically stop at the door when it comes to these 2 cases. Im not going to proceed on a bashing on DD cases so ill leave it like that. AS for Case Labs well its basically a MM UFO case with cheap Wire management slots and thats it really. yes its a little thicker but unless u plan on dropping ur comp from a building its not really going to matter. and if anyone really is that worried about there componentes then go build a case out of kevlar.
Now im not aplying at all that bigger is better but its always better to have more than not enough. And if this statement wasent tru then u would never see quad 580's cf 6990 and so forth. what i will say that yes MM cases are expensive but only if u want them to powder coat ur comp get special holes in ur windows etc. etc. etc but u name one case that comes from a factory that already has these things because if there was one we would be buying them and not modding our current cases. If there was one u will be paying a arm and a leg for it.

Ok couple of things.

1.)Comparing the LD to the Pinnacle 24 must be a joke:doh:
The pinnacle can only hold a normal 360 and a slim on in the top because of hte psu placement.
Further more MM has saved a substancial amount of money considering the production values and material of the Pinnacle.
It is a low range case for beginners and people who don´t wanna spend money for a serious case but still be able to proud themselves to own a MM.

2.)I am not sure if you read through Stallions and my posts but the normal Ascension was never discussed.
My whole point of saying that MM is being surpressed more and more by LD and DD was based on the Extended Ascension.
Now I am not sure if you have owned or seen an Extended Ascension but trust me your statement "better more than not enough" does not apply here.

Not only in material, craftship, modelling and production values is the Ascension even remotely comparable to the LD also in water cooling ability the Ascension is far behind in space, capability and efficiency.

The big advantage of the Little Devil is the bottom compartment which actively enables the user to push cold ambient air and dispose it to the other side if you have one rad and the back and front if you have 2x480´s down there, at the same time does the exhaust air neither effect the other components nor create any space issues for further expansions.
That looks a little bit different with the Ascension:

Here you can see the hot exhaust air is spread all over the components and the case interior which will lead to vast tempreture rise and I don´t even wanna start if the case is closed.

Additionally you can see how the complete lack of cable management can contribute to the bad airflow and exhaust heat disposal which all added up lead to extreme heat clustering ,tempreture rise and ultimately less or unefficient radiator cooling which negates the effect of the watercooling by at least 40%.

But the Ascension wasn´t even an issue.
Considering that the Extended Ascension is the flagship of MM you can imply that the production values are vastly better than of its predeccessors.
Still absolutely no match for the LD.
Spacewise and radiator capable wise the Extended Ascension has the win no questions asked.
But you have to ask yourself do you really need it?
If you take a guy like Stallion with Tri 480 big CPU OC SR2(I believe) then 20 harddrives 2x 1080 rad + 2x360 rad and on and on of course I will recommend the Extended but watercooling isn´t that blunt anymore.
It has become more sophisticated and elegant.
And like I said people have become more body concsious of their cases and esthethically orientated.
And in my oppinion the Extended´s purpose isn´t really looking graceful and elegant but rather then being there to do the most extreme job possible.
And most people don´t want that anymore.
They concentrate on production values , good craftmanship and a nice design + silhouette.
But of course you are right looks are limited to the preferences of the beholder that is correct.
But if you consider the amount of people switching from MM to LD or DD you might wanna reconsider that statement:)

DD and LD are taking the lead in my oppinion.
