Northwood 2.6c vs Prescott 2.8?

Thread Starter
2.6c is Northwood FSB 800 512 L2 and Prescott 2.8 has FSB 800 and 1M L2. If not considering OC, which one is better in multimedia environment? Such as encoding movie files and audio files....

I noticed that 2.8 has some negative reputations according to high temp and others which I do not know of well.

Even with higher stock clock and two times of L2, 2.8 is worse than 2.6c?

Thanks
