OC'd my X2 3800+, now my mem is slow

Thread Starter
Hi, I'm new to this but I think I have a basic grasp of what goes on with overclocking... I OC'd my 3800 to 2.4Ghz ran tests and evevrything was stable but then I noticed that my memory way running at 333Mhz instead of 400Mhz... I reset the BIOS to default settings and it's running at 400Mhz again.. what gives?

I see your using three sticks of ram, some mobo/cpu combo's will default to 333 with more than two sticks of ram. Your ram may not run dual channel as well, try removing one of the sticks and see what happens. Are you using cpu-z to check mem speeds?
