Asus Rampage III Formula

Thought you guys might like to share my good news .
I was pleased to get this, like many I've been keen to see what this board is like and how it performs.

I don't think it's quite as good looking as the Asus Crosshair IV Formula. Looking at the options for LN2, the Digi+ and extra BIOS feartures and tweaks it looks a bit more muscular :lol: That's first initial impression anyways. There'as a lot more features to explore

Dual Bios
Want to run 2 different bios versions you can.

switch between BIOS, no problem, press the red button

Looking good

If it wasn´t that Sandy Bridge was that close it might had been my next gaming board but one never know , I might get one anyway .

Since one use slot 1 and 3 there´s good spacing between the vgacards when one run SLI/Crossfire

The RIIIE had some problem with a to hot IOH, heatsinks couldn´t handle the heat that good, I just wait and see if it´s the same with this one.

Hah yes that seems to be the only online manual atm.

the extreme has:-
1) Terminals rather than simple measuring points for multimeter voltage measuring.

2)Bluetooth
Bluetooth Module Accessory Card
Bluetooth V2.0/V2.1+EDR
RC Bluetooth On/Off Switch

3) a beefier phase design,
Formula
* 8-phase CPU power.
* 3-phase QPI/DRAM power.
* 2-phase NB power.
* 2-phase Memory Power.
Extreme
* 8-phase CPU power.
* 3-phase QPI/DRAM power.
* 3-phase NB power.
* 3-phase Memory Power.

Probably are a few more things, but those are the main ones that come to mind other than price.

also remember the extreme is an E-ATX board, this one doesn't look like it, it seems to have only 3 PCIe slots.

From an Aesthetic point of view, the extreme is far more evolved in its presentation and charm . The shiny ASUS logo on the south bridge is making me cringe.

Thanks for the post, any idea how much this baby costs?
