is it worth buying a 3700 or 3800 or 4000
don't really care about overclocking it

well am not going to buy the new socket to vista comes out and that is next year so ill wait to the new socket comes out and see how much price drops

I would stick with what you have which is a fine processor, great motherboard and an overclock that should make 2.7GHz+.

Nope, it is not worth an additional $200-$340 for a possible 200mhz and/or 1mb of cache gain.

HOWEVER: A dual core CPU would be a more reasonable upgrade.
