are you joking? its completely possible.
Star craft 2 doesn't even take much out of a computer. I would get a build going on with Athlon X2 since most games currently only use 2 cores as well and you can't afford more. You'll have to get a bunch of combos on newegg though.
Edit: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...Size=10&page=1
on this page scroll down and you can get a mobo+cpu (Athlon II X2) combo for $85-$100. There are combos that include RAM (you should get 2gb and the case as well).

Go with an Athlon II X2 chip and OC the hell out of it. Combine that w/ a mATX board, cheap Newegg case, basic hard drive and 2gb of RAM, a good 400w PSU and a 9600GT, and you'd be set.

All depends on the resolution though. For 1680x1050 and below, 9600GT should be enough to run it on high, for 1440x900, you can probably play on Ultra.

do this. I suggest picking one of the mobos I put up in the link. So that brings you out to $85-$100. Corsair 400CX is $30 on newegg after MIR. How much HD space do you need? a dvd-rw drive would be like $20 and a basic case with decent air cooling would be $30-$40. Heck i might even be able to fit an operating system in there if you need one.

Possible, but not really worth it in my eyes.
I dont see a point in building a computer that is already essentially junk the second you turn it on.
But if you MUST have one
Athlon X2, Crappy Mobo, Crappy case, Less than 250GB HD, 2 Gigs RAM, 350Wpsu, 92/9400GT.
It will turn on, and run starcraft. But it wont run anything other than word or the internet really well.

Like i said, I see no point in building a computer if its brand new and is already dead in the water when you turn it on. I would recommend saving up another $200-300 and actually building something that you can use for more than 1 year before everything becomes nearly unplayable...
