Quote:
This Japanese scientist engineered a way to convert common plastic trash back into the oil it was made from. The oil can then be further refined into diesel, kerosene, or gasoline. Perhaps if he figures out how to do this on a massive scale, we can reduce the waste in landfills and oceans. The process in the video above seems so simple…so why hasn’t this been done before now?
Video Here ------>

Absolutely incredible in it's simplicity!
I love Japan

Saw this a couple days ago. I'm surprised no one does this on a mass scale.

i work at a transfer station and we always have this pile of shredded plastic that we have to send to the landfill. the other day someone requested a sample of this plastic so they could see if they can turn it into oil.

interesting.

Wait a second, so you're telling me one man figured this out vs billions of dollars pumped out by the oil industry to accomplish the same thing? Why am I sensing something here... Something's rotten in the state of Denmark.

but how much power does it use to convert the plastic into oil?

Probably more then it cost you to get 1 litter of gas. This is only effective in very large scale.

If you can find a heating element that can heat up to 400*C, it doesn't look hard to make at all.
