I Did It!!! 400FSB on 2600 Barton!!!

Thread Starter
It may sound like a weak overclock to some of you, but I was able to OC my 2600 barton to 400FSB(2300mhz). Thats a 20% increase over stock.

Unfortunately, I can only get it to boot into windows and it can't run prime 95 without locking up. The voltage is already at "1.875" volts and I dont really want to go any higher, but my thermaltake fan keeps it around 52 C under prime 95 at 190FSB.

Too bad my Aquamark 3 scores are still crappy (33,839).

Stop hijacking his thread, if you need help, make your own thread.

Thats getting to be a nice overclock. You may need to mess with your memory to get it stable. It sounds like it could be done. What are some of your other settings?

Did you try CPU-z, checking your bios, or using speedfan to monitor your V-core?

I was going to increase my v-core to get a stable 400mhz fsb, but the temps were pegging at 56 C when I was at 193mhz

ok

I have the FSB at 200, the multiplier is locked at 11.5. I have a "ram divider" set at 100%, they other options are 120% and 80% and I dont want my ram running at 240 or 160 mhz. I have the AGP set at 67mhz and stock voltage. My memory is capable of 2 3 2 6, but as I increased the FSB, the BIOS knocked it back a few to 2 3 3 8. Memory and chipset voltages are also stock.
