Hi.

Im getting this mobo :

and this processor for a friend:
http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/pro...oducts_id=8607

I just wanted to know whether the motherboad is compatible with the processor. The reason I ask is because it says that its a EMT64T processor.
Im not experienced with intels so im not sure.

I wouldnt reccomend a micro atx board. The bios sucks and they have very bad features.

I think it would be better if you change your choice to a motherboard that had an Intel chispet, such as the 865PE.

Micro's do usually have fewer features, makes sense as they are smaller boards. But fewer does not always mean bad. In fact, technically, the statement is incorrect as micro boards usually share some of the same features a full ATX board has, they just don't have all of them.

BIOS quality is probably more linked to manufacutre than to size of board.

I would agree that you will probably want to get a board that uses a Intel chipset. It will be more stable and will more likely have more BIOS options.

Try this one.......

or this one, a very good Micro...

EDIT: I just noticed the prices on that site?!? It seems the ones I recommended are about twice the cost???? That does limit your options........over here those boards are only about $30-45 difference.......
