Oc'ed 4400+ X2 Stability Issue - Page 2

for quick testing, you don't have to run prime95 for hours. Just run something like SuperPi or quick prime95 runs, so you can get an idea of your max cpu overclock at the necessary voltages....otherwise, if you prime test for hours after every tweak, it'll take you forever to tweak your system.

No, my pair ot 7800 GTX are factory overclocked and i pushed them to 500Mhz and 1.30Ghz.

As in relation to the thread however... I have ran Prime95 for around 10 hours straight at stock speed and 0 errors/warnings. Now I will try my OC'ed speed and tell you how it went in the morning, while I get this running overnight!

Wow, great! Oc'ed my CPU to the setting I mentioned on the first post and I failed, lol. What do I do now?! It says:

FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4 Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file. Torture Tes ran 15 minutes- 1 error, 0 warnings. Execution halted.

to me, it sounds like your chipset may not be getting adequate cooling....and once that happens, even if you rfan goes off for a moment, your initial instabliity can corrupt windows files and cause your systemn more instabliity...i have this same problem with mine occasionally....usually it is a MOBO cooling issue....

Hm... I just woke up and had Prime95 running at stock speed, and it had the samne error. It says it failed after 7 hours. Whats the next step i take to fix this problem. Maybe that's I can't overclock properly...

My mobo temperature is always between 40-50 even that idle. Never seen it go above 50, and I dont' think colling is that much of an issue

First, is your HTT 4x or 5x? Set it to 4X and maybe loosen those timings to begin with but I would not run the ram on a divider just to get 2.4. I am sure it will handle it. Also what is your vcore set at?

Ok, I'll try that, but what is HTT. And the RAM is set to the settings that is presumably Prime Stable under the Official OCZ Forum Database.
