Oc'ed 4400+ X2 Stability Issue - Page 4

Really shouldnt have any problems wit that oc, ive got my hp 3800+ X2 Toledo at 2.3 ghz via clockgen, and i'tll run prime 95 for 8+ hours without error, just for ****s and giggles maybe try using an overclocking software like cpu cool, just a thought... Good luck

Not sure if this was mensioned yet, but you could try running your RAM at a divider. My opty won't go over 240ish htt without a divider.

i wasn't aware 3800+ were based of the Toledo cores. AFAIK they were Manchester cores?

The htt on the dfi's reads: LDT/FSB Frequency Ratio and is set to auto by default but can be set to 5x,4x,3, etc. Set yours to 4x, then set a 166 divider just to see where the cpu can go, my 3800+ will run up to 2.75ghz.

Oh yeah, I meant to mention that in my earlier post. the early 3800+'s were actually toledo's with failed L2's, they were set up as 512k L2's and badged as 3800+. They then made the manchester as an intended 512k L2, hence a lower manufacture cost and lower wattage.
