SFF monster build plan (i7/RIIIG/SLI470gtx) pic of current hardware added! - Page 2

Gratz on selling your old rig.

Wait and see if you can get a cheap i7 950.

It's like a gamble, you can get a bad 920/930 or vice versa, but both should easily OC to 4.0 Ghz.

By the way are you even going to OC? If yes how high?

Thanks, was really happy about it too. Just felt that it's just not what I reaaly would want

I of cource will overclock and would be very glad if I would be able to reach 4Ghz.

Yeah will wait a bit and then get the best chip available. Would definitely like a cheap 950 though

It indeed has, but the best price so far is 345$ Guess I'll have to wait a bit more for the CPU
Had a good laugh yesterday when someone offered me the lian-li case I'm looking for for 350$ and when I asked him why does he want so much for it he told me he was going to ship it to me from the USA Had to refuse

For ram, don't forget to look at g.skill.
Corsair or g.skill would be my two picks.
And for a video card, the 470 would be a good idea.
Also I agree, the 950 would definitely be something to consider, even if it means waiting a bit more for the price to come down. Its up to you though.

Thanks for the reply! As I have already mentioned the G.Skill is not available at my country at the moment (hope they will be in the near future ) So that leaves me with corsair which I personally much appreciate but I also want as many components of the system to match each other as possible which leaves me a choice of red dominators (expensive) or the crucial tracers set (affordable).

Guys, anyone Can someone tell me if the new Corsair H70 will fit into the Lian-li case I've planned (v352)? Because seeing this picture:

from the official Lian-li site I'm starting to have doubts The radiator on the H70 is much thicker compared to H50 - it's 5cm thick! From the picture of the case I can see that it's like the total amount of space is 5cm maybe just a bit more (the case fans that come with the v352 are standard 2,5cm).

So what do you think? Will I be able to mount at least one Scythe Slip Stream (SY1212SL12H) - it's 1,2cm thick?

H70 uses two fans and as you said is also thicker than the H50.

Just found those pics here, they don't show an H70 but come close to it in size.
http://hostthenpost.org/uploads/3c00...f897d0d2e1.jpg (note that the motherboard is too long)

Looking at the H70 again, it probably won't fit w/o any modding. H50 for the win?
