Inconsistent Windows Loading Time

Thread Starter
Well I have had a fresh install just a week ago. And it always takes like 30-60seconds for my OS to log in to windows with my 4400+ X2. While it takes like around 30sec with my crappy Pentium 3 processor. I didn't mind it at first, but today it has failed logging in 4 times... it would be on the loading screen for 60sec and the blue bar would freeze. Nothing was overclocked, the CPU, RAM, GPU, nothing! Anything to solve this stupid problem?

Odd... do you by chance have any OB peripherals that are replaced with a card? Like Sound card add on and forgot to disable the OC sound?
Always disable anything not used like COM & Serial ports too!

Try using one memory stick instead of two and see if it loads. Could be bad memory chip.

Nope, I don't belive it's bad memory. I ran Memtest86 for over 48+ hours without a single error! just a couple days ago.

Nope, I'm not using any of those and I'm pretty sure they are all disabled, unless you can be more specific.

Another thought... what PS do you have?
A weak PS can effect the HD's performance and eventually damage it. If it's being somewhat starver for power it could effect the boot time!

It's listed on my specs. I have a Liberty Enermax 630W which is a PSU recommended for SLI setups which I have. I have a pair of 7800GTX running.

I would still try it with one memory stick. You got nothing to lose.
