I think this would be a good buy. It even comes with two cathodes and is made for the tornado!

Hi Masterof thepuppets,

Thanks for the rep+, but if you didn't feel it worthy you should not have given it. I just wanted to make sure you realized that the power connector on the motherboard for the cpu heatsink fan has a max amp rating of around 1.5-1.8 amps. Anything more will overload the circuit and possibly take out the motherboard. The Tornado high speed fans pull a lot more than this. You have a nice rig and I wouldn't want you to loose it...

As for a fan controller. Here's a link or two that has many to choose from:

The Zalman fanmate works well, but you'll need to modify a front panel. No big deal really... Coolerguys is located in your neck of the woods as well (Washington State)

I've used the folks above many times and with no complaints.

I hope this helped, :-)

Sunbeam makes an internal controler that is worked in windows. No open bay needed and handles up to 8 fans and 8 thermal sensors! It pops in a spare slot.
Next thing on my list to buy... along with 5x120mm and 2x60mm fans

ok well my mainboard cpu fan connector has a max of 3 amps(i read the manual) and it will definitely support this fan. so if i cant get a molex to 3 pin connector gender changer then i will probably buy the tornado controller. i mean, it is for my fan and it supports another fan and isnt expensive. thanks guys
