Help with my BFG 6200

Thread Starter
i recentley bought a bfg 6200 pci from best buy. but whenever i try to play a game it runs it well but then out of no where it freezes for about 10-20 secs and continues to play the game fine. this happens all the time and is getting me ANGRY! even my fx5500 wouldent do that when i play the same games as i do on the 6200. i called bfg and they told me to install the forceware 77.77 drivers and that would get rid of the lag, but it still happens. does anyone have any suggestions? - Queefinout

What games are you playing, is the card turbo cached, those cards arent very good to begin with.

Try these drivers:
http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1353

They work fine with my BFG 3dfuzion 6200 128mb AGP.

Maybe try turning the game settings down a notch.

I used to get freezing while playing NFS: MW, the display and music would freeze for about 10 seconds and then was normal again. It got really annoying because this happened during races! So I just turned settings down and no more freezing.

That's good enough for now. Mostly what I wanted to see was how much ram you had. With only 512mb you want to make sure you have very little or no background programs running. Check task manager and you system try and close everything you don't need while playing. See if that helps
