New desk? - Page 2

My desk fulfills its purpose nicely, thankyouverymuch. I don't want to pay a lot of money for furniture. If something breaks, I can buy another one.

The definition of a quality product is one that meets its specification and satisfies the customer. Therefore, it is a quality product. At a great price, too

Well, I'll tell you what you should do. Build your own out of either plywood, or glass. Then construct it in a corner so you would have two edges to monkey with. Or just get two of those black glass ones. Then put it in the corner.
Lemme show you a pic.

Well, different strokes. It just pisses me off when someone get's mad because their particle board POS broke when we are moving it, since they aren;t built to be moved....I would rather buy quality and not have to buy again for several years....plus, i think my desk looks sexy.

If I wanted to move my particle board desk any distance...I'd take it to pieces. Its only 2 sides, a top and a support across the back. I can have it in 4 bits in less than a minute if theres nothing on it

Granted, a smart person would do that, and that is what i would do if i could stomach the stuff, but most people aren;t that smart, and we refuse to take them apart because they can break just as easily that way, and they aren't meant to be taken apart and reassembled too often anyway.
