Direct X 10, expected to ship with Vista. Direct X is software that sort of contains the instructions on what graphics to process and how to process them. It's kinda hard to explain, I don't know a whole lot about Direct X. Maybe someone else can help you more.

Seems like Vista will be the ultimate gaming OS for a few years or untill a better version of DirectX (hopefully it will be better) comes out.
