Probably the PSU wasn't your problem (obviously lol) I see you have a Zalman CNPS 9500, what are your temps? Also what settings are you using in your BIOS? (voltages, timings everything) your P4 3.0 should be able to get 3.6-3.8GHz on that board with that cooler without too much trouble.

EDIT/// Download CPUz

http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

And upload screenshots of all of the tabs (except the last one that is about or something) to upload a screenshot you click on the POST REPLY link in this thread, and when you are typing your response, scroll down and click MANAGE ATTATCHMENTS, from there you can upload 5 images from your hard drive and click UPLOAD, once they are done uploading close the popup window and finish making your post, the images will appear as attatchments after that.

To take a screen shot press PRNT SCRN on your keyboard and then paste into mspaint, be sure to save as a .jpeg so the images are small enough to upload! You can open CPUz 4 times and have each instance of it open to a new tab so they are all in 1 screen shot to make it easier on yourself.

EDIT//// see my attatchment if you need help uploading pics

EDIT///// second attatchment shows what I mean as far as what I'm looking for in your screenshots of CPUz.

erm fishie i was never getting any crashes no... And Remonster yeah i will do that as soon as i get home at the moment im at work. Its real frustrating because it will go to 3.65 and do prime for 3 and half hours but then say if i start counter strike source, it wont work it just hangs... My voltages then were at 1.47!? on stable on full load voltages moved down to 1.41 and were completely stable there... and all rails and other voltages were stable as well? i dont get it ....

Does it hang on anything else besides counterstrike. It may be your graphics card oc if you have one of that its not getting the power if it will prime im thinking its not the cpu. If you can try and let it prime for 8 hours and see if it will last.

Buying that PSU might not have let you OC more, but it is a very good investment. It will be useable in that computer and any other that you upgrade to for quite some time.

I dont think anyone get a stable 12v all the time, maybe small changes of 0.01v, but it should be at or ABOVE 12v.

My +12v sits @ between 12.28 and 12.34.
