I want a mechanical keyboard; for obvious reasons. I want one with the 'cup' style keys, like the old Commodore 64.

I really want that style of keys. Takes me back! Do these exist? or am I going to have to buy an oldie?

No current production mechanical keyboards I know of have the cupped keys, sorry. And even in vintage keyboards that's pretty rare unless you go pre-Model M (and thus pre~1985). The Model M might be closest in feel though.

That's sort of what I was thinking. Could get $$$ real fast

There were a lot of old ones that had stems that looked like Cherry ones. But the cross was wider on the older ones, so they aren't interchangeable.

Cherry actually offers (or at least offered in the past) cupped keycaps suitable for MX/MY switches, and there were some keyboards from the 80s that had them. Not exactly the most common thing under the sun though.
