Honestly, the Raidmax might not be the greatest PSU, but his rig wont be drawing that much power from it anyway, max like 350-360w unless I'm missing something, so i doubt its the PSU. I personally don't see anything wrong with using an adapter, but hey that's just my opinion.

Also, for the case led's the top one should be power i believe, and the bottom one is HDD activity.
film_go.pngYouTube- #1125 - NZXT Lexa S & Tempest Evo Cases Video Review45 seconds in he explains what they are for. The cables for the power and hdd led's should be connected to the motherboard along with the reset/power buttons. here's a manual for your board that will have a diagram of this to make it a bit easier.

Hmm.. Did you get a chance to move your ram around? I actually just set my rig up last night after doing a little leak test, and without thinking put my ram in the wrongs slots, and it wouldn't post. Do you have a speaker connected to the mobo? If you do it might help identify what the problem is.

Try using a different cable. I had the same problem on my build. I cant remember what fixed it exactly but I think it had something to do with the video card. Make sure you set what connection you are using it for. For instance hdmi, dvi, etc...

Hmm.. And you have both the 6pin power and the molex to 6 pin connected to your card?

If you mean the case led's they don't even need to be plugged in at all, so i doubt that's the issue, but check your HDD connections if its the bottom one your talking about. Check all your connections, especially the 4 and 24pin's make sure they are in the slots nice and tight and didn't come loose or something, if they seem good, just go through everything, make sure everything is connected. If that doesn't work, i personally would take it out of the case, and set it up on a box.. Just makes it a little easier and rules out the possibility something isn't connected properly. You sure you don't have a little speaker laying around somewhere? (in an old computer or something?)

How do you know the computer isn't just faulting, because something is either bad or not connected right?

If your motherboard has an on-board video output, this would be the time remove your GFX card and try that.

As for this problem, it could really be anything. I'm sure that you made sure that everything is secure, like PCI/PCIe cards, RAM, power cords, HD cords, everything. Don't overlook one thing.

BTW: A 550 watt should be good. I have almost an identical system to yours, and my Sigma 535 watt PSU is capable of running mine.

EDIT: Also give us more specific specs on the motherboard and things like that.

EDIT2: Just read some stuff back earlier...
