Pretty sure it works with a valid edu address. Hey dude, just find some college students or high schoolers with school emails. It isn't hard, I bought approx. 6 copies that way .

I don't think high schools are able to get .edu TLDs. I could be wrong, but that's my understanding.

Hey guys!
I sorry for the late response....
I heard of the student thing before too, but it wont work for me since I get a special email address from my school. I will see if I can get it from some college relative. Thanks for that tip.

Is the GTX 460 and 470 equivalent as the 5850 or 5870? I dont know much on the nvidia graphics. But i heard they take up more power and produce much more heat. But, if it has direct 11, i might get it.

I really like that combo thing you posted with almost everthing, but the case is.....
And, is the 6 cores good? Because like yesterday before I got approval of building my own, i was looking at a dell with a 1035T, and someone said that it isnt good at all. Would I be better off with the 955/965 Black Edition?

And, like a said before, i dont know much about motherboards, so I cant really comment on that.....

What is the difference from these two copies of windows 7:

Thanks!!!!

Go for the 470, it has good performance, price and drivers won't be an issue. Right now the 470 is at good price/performance. Also the 1035T (six cores) is better then a 955/965 (four cores) BE.

The Geforce GTX 4xx series, and the Radeon HD 5xxx series are all DX11 GPU's. The GTX 460 1GB is not quite a 5850
and the GTX 470 sits between the 5850 and 5870. Also, the 4xx series do run hotter and consume more power than
the 5850 & 5870, but it's not as bad as some say. If you have a well managed case with good airflow, I wouldn't worry about it.

The difference between those copies of Win7 is that for the full version you get support from MS, and can transfer it
to a new machine in the future. with the OEM version, you cannot. IIRC that is.

I'd say the 460 is a little below a 5850 where as a 470 is on par with a 5870.

?? Isn't that what I said?

The Benches i've seen puts the 470 inbetween the 5850 and 5870, with some
tests landing closer to the 5870.

Btw, also an OEM version of windows can be put on a different computer in the future.
you only have to call a phone number it will provide you to erase your old hardware hash and get a new one for the new/next computer.

so i would save the money and get an OEM.

i use OEM's myself becuase a phonecall is alot cheaper then the retail version
