Confusion Regarding HTT and FSB

Thread Starter
Hi,

I'm a noob at overclocking. I have read some FAQs on this forum and have a few confusions on HTT and FSB.

So, from what I understand, HTT = FSB for CPU, and FSB = FSB for RAM, correct? Then what exactly does HTT x FSB mean? I understand that FSB/HTT x multi (let's say...10) = total CPU clock, however, I remember a few threads in which users posted HTT as x 3, x 4, etc.

So what exactly is HTT? Is it not the same as FSB? What's the difference between HTT x FSB and HTT/FSB x multi?. Any clarifications would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

HT x3 or x4 is so FSB wont go over or to far over 1000.
HTT is 200(at default) raise it to add more mhz to cpu.once HTT reaches 250 HT multipule needs to set to x4 to take FSB back to 1000
HTT*HTT multip(10)=2500mhz
HTT*HT(x4)=1000 FSB
