Turn my sig rig into a mITX build?

Thread Starter
What do you all think? Should I build a new mITX build from scratch or just use my old sig rig, and then upgrade my old tower with new stuff? The mITX boards that are out now don't seem to catch my eye, but maybe i'm overlooking. Thanks all

If you use a mITX board you will only be able to plug in 1 GPU (you would not be able to cross fire your 4850s).

mATX might be a better choice since your using two 4850s

Depends on if you can afford it. Current mITX boards are either for socket 775, 1156 or AM3. All mITX boards have only two slots for RAM and the AM3 ones only run with SO-DIMM.

thanks for all your advice! Yeah I was thinking of getting a 775 mITX board and stuffing whatever I can from my old rig into it, then sell the other stuff for the new rig.

Should I ditch both 4850's and just buy a nice 5770 for the mITX and a 5870 for the new rig? Gosh I built a friend PC and got way too excited, I just have an urge to build right now lol.

I need to build up my rep here so I can start selling here but I haven't been really active since I started building my other rigs years ago.
