Hey everybody !
Since I could hardly find any information at all about unlocking voltage control on the Gigabyte GTX460 1024MB, and since for some strange and unfathomable reason nobody on this board seem to buy the gigabyte card, I'm making this thread to help people out.
First of all, flashing the card under FreeDOS did *NOT* work and only bricked it, so if you plan on using my BIOS make sure to flash using some sane DOS environment. DOS 7.1 is what I used.
The voltage cap on this bios has been removed, so the card can go up to 1.213v. To flash, you should get nvflash 5.95 or higher.
Here are my clocks ATM:
Core: 880 (stock was 715) @ 1.125 V.
Shader: 1760
Memory: I'm keeping that at 1800, stock.
This is all on air using the stock cooler with the fan at 100%; temps stay under 55 (this card never saw idle, dunno about that).
Any faster and I get artifacts.
let me know if you need other modzz/help...
