Alright thanks for the info. I guess I will just have to hope that my current TC ring will get a good work-unit soon. The 6904 should finish on Thursday and then I will likely switch to regular smp for a while to tweak overclock settings and such. I will definitely get the passkey switched over sometime this month.

Yeah i wouldnt switch in the middle. I have done that on gpu wu's, but never on anything that complex...you'll just have to wait it out, lol.

Just checked my virtual machine client and realized that for some reason it is only detecting 8 cores. Deleted everything and re-did it following Digi's guide as I did the first time. Still says it only detects 8 cores. No idea what is wrong.

the corefix is key here. I used that guide for my vmware and native bigbig setups. Doublecheck your .sh and profiles to make sure its running corefix properly.

The thing that really confuses me is that everything was working fine and I did not change anything. Corefix is running because I can see that Linux detects 12 cores.

Oh, ok.....That shows up like that no matter what. When i was bigbig folding i got 6903's when it said that. I saw it and tried to change it to 12, but it adversely effected the performance. So i switched it back to 8 and no problems with getting bigbigs.

I have checked all the scripts and everything seems to be as it should. I deleted everything and re-did it again and still got the same result. I really have no idea why it is unable to detect 12 cores within the client.

Linux sees 12 cores if I look under system monitor but the fah client only sees 8 which is why I have been unable to get bigbig units recently. It was working fine about 10 days ago and I did not change anything between the time when it was working fine and when it stopped detecting 12 cores.
