After the new year I should have the 290 and 3570K in a full water loop. At which point I will overclock even more.

Hey I realized something today when pushing my 6950 (unlocked) up in MSIAB. I was having a super hard time getting it to not kick me back down to stock bios clocks (840/1280) - I realized I had the "Synchronize setting for similar graphics processors" setting on. I turned it off, and WHAMMO! no more stupid MSIAB. back to 930/1320 +10PT like a baws.

I'm not sure how much better the 290X is than my 290 at folding. My 290 says 145K PPD in F@H and HFM.net but I never seem to get that high according to the stats. In TC stats it's more like 120K PPD.

NEW AMD DRIVERS!

My power limit slider works now. So far I'm folding stable @1100MHz (previously 1050MHz), I'm gonna wait a few hours to see if these new drivers improve PPD too. So far HFM.net says 151K PPD which was higher than before but I've only had the new drivers for 45 minutes.

HFM.net is saying 158K PPD, I'M GETTING EXCITED!!!! wheee.gif

Grats Dude!

I've got some 290s that I bought to mine LTC on, but with PPD like that... I might just fold!

Nice results!  What's the ole kill-a-watt reading at those clocks?

Check to see if they unlock to 290x's, for more information that PM me. There is almost a 40% chance that a 290 will unlock to a 290x. Mine is locked, but 290X would put me into GPU-Elite so I'm happy with 290. It's way more gaming power than I need, and for folding, it seems to be better than a 7970 so it's the best I can do for the AMD cat.

It's pretty quiet in here....

What is everybody's plans for the Holidays? Whether you're celebrating or not - you've probably got the day off :)

I have three kids under the age of 8 so Christmas is eventful. Fun, but exhausting. My plan is to get my fill of ham, prime rib, beer, and white russians during my time off!

Oh how awesome, I got this Core 16 work unit on the R9 290 that is netting me 4600 PPD and ETA of 11 hours. This is horrible, how can I ditch this thing?
