7600GT im assuming? Thats a pretty high end card.. It'll definately play 1024x768 maxed out fine. 1024x768 really wont stress the limits of the card.

Wait.. You have your Sempron 3100+ at 3.0.. On stock cooling? Proof? I call bs.. On high end air it may be possible, but I doubt it would be stable.

He means it's rated as a 3.0GHz INTEL processor.
Let me do the math here.
Intel: 6 opts per cycle
AMD: 9 opts per cycle
1800x9 = 16200
3000x6 = 18000
So it's actually not quite up to speed with a 3GHz intel processor, AND the sempron only has 128 or 256KB or L1 (I'm assuming that yours has 256Kb, since most do). This means that your processor isn't even as fast as a 3.0GHz Celeron, let alone a full on P4.
edit:
Wait, Intel runs at 6 opts per cycle, where as AMD runs at 9, right?
If not, my math is totally off.

The sempron is by far a much better chip and murders a celeron by long shot. You can't compare the two. Those Sempron 64's will oc very nicely so if you oc the processor I cant see it holding it back that much.

Actually in gaming, Semprons perform quite well. Per ghz they perform nearly on par with their AMD64 counter part, and slightly outperform their "intel rating".

I've seen some benchmarks, but I don't remember which site compaired Semprons to the regular AMD64's......I even tried googling it.
