XT 7600 - Pushing the most out of it. - Page 2

Yes, you will be able to play maxed out at 1024 x 768. The CPU will bottleneck it a little bit, but not alot.

And a Sempron 3100+ would murder a 3GHz Celeron.

http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu...sempron_6.html

one i found, the old 754 semporns will fall short of the celeron in several categories but gamins wise the 939 sempron 64 is just a sweet chip.

Yeah it says
"the Semprons are all in the lower part of the diagram with a single exception of the Sempron 3100+, which features an integrated memory controller and the K8 architecture. This processor is so fast in Quake 3 that it leaves behind the full-featured Pentium 4 on the Prescott core and clocked at 2.8GHz!" so from here on out il call my processor a 2.8
Yay thank you <3

Honestly...i think any card from the 6800 series or higher will be bottlenecked in some wayby the CPU.....honestly....watch your 3dmark GRAPHICS score go up as you overclcok...that isn;t just the CPU doing that, since 3dmark relys on the GPU ion that category...and it has to process to the rest of the machine through the CPU....no matter what...most cards will be bottlenecked by your CPU....

If you were to take that "beyond a 2.8 Intel" and test it on video encoding it would be much lower than an Intel 2.8 so as I said, you can call it what you want but that does not make it "Beyond a 2.8 Intel".

In some benchmarks it is and in some benchmarks your Sempron 256KB Cache will be much lower than a 2.8GHz Intel.
