lol. Thanks. The original animation was 440K. I had to modify it a little for the team, and to make the 39K limit

Anyways, that 3.7Ghz you are running will still get 3300+PPD. I'd just hold it there for stability. Frankie (the big green monster) used to run 3.7Ghz and he did really good. Sure beats the 2K per day cap on GPU's. Go JBC!

True that

I wish that my BIOS had more OC'ing options though...

Don't worry Dan, we all get hit by those big ones every now and again.

And I wanna say sorry to Lemans and Gibbs, they'll prob have to clean up my mess in the thread for the monthly team comp points. I kinda lost my marbles but I meant what I said also so I'm not editing, but if you mods feel I must then so be it.

Just more people complaining about the gpu2 cap

I just don't understand it, I mean if you don't like the cap then don't gpu2 fold.

Maybe in the beginning we should have just stayed away from and not ever allowed anyone to gpu2 fold or quad fold. But then that just hurts the team comp by allowing fewer entries. I guess it's a dual sided sword.

EDIT:

Also, I've had a bit of time on my hands and have been honing in my E8400 setup, I should know by tomm after some stress testing my final speed for it. And I will be switching to it for my main folding rig for the team.

Thanks Ranger. We have pushed each other for months now and it has resulted in some of the fastest SMP folding rigs in the world. Good job yourself. RX7Racer is doing really good himself

My plan was simple. Figure out where I was having bottlenecks. I replaced my Arctic Cooler with a Xigmatec, resulting in a -7C load difference. From there I was able to bump up the Vcore a little to run at the same load temps. By bumping up the Vcore I was able to to increase the FSB. Then I replaced the Gskill 800's with some Gskill 1066's and those are overclocked as well, and the timings are 5-5-5-12. That really boosted the SMP times.
Then I realized that the Vmware was using up valuable resources. Virtual machines are never as fast as the pure OS. So I decided to run the Linux SMP in a pure Linux environment. That also resulted in a performance increase.
My current times on the Gromacs CVS core are about 6mins 10secs to 6mins 20secs
