Help 7900gt - Page 3

What you need to do is a testbed to determine whether the card is faulty.

Remove the graphics adapter and install it into another system and test it. If the errors persist then RMA the card. If the errors do not repeat on the different system then you can begin to trouble-shoot your system.

Of course you need first to determine via isolation if the problem is the system or the graphics adapter. DO NOT FLASH THE BIOS!

Anything else at this time is a waste of valuable RMA time. Do you not know anyone with a computer that will fit your graphics adapter?

If you like his cpu and you are a hardcore gamer you might wanna check this list out... http://www23.tomshardware.com/cpu.ht...2=216&chart=68

It plainly shows how dual core AMD and all Intel CPU's suck lol.

Another thing kingwilliam... your high end video card will run faster if you can get past 2.60ghz. Once you get past 2.6ghz on a AMD cpu your video card will run alot faster. I suggest getting the 4000+ You can expect another 30+ FPS with that CPU.

Have you tried enabling vsync? Your description of the problem in the first post matches "tearing" to a t, vsync alleviates this tearing by forcing a maximum fps. Skimmed through the rest of the thread, so maybe I missed something.
