So your system probably pulls 1200w max anyways.
This was only while taxing the GPU's and not much of the CPU on the 980x using Kombustor.
I am not sure why people choose not to believe the draw, while I have with a meter on it LOL
1700W+ Draw = 1700W+
Even if the monitors take 85W each and the keyboard another 40W That would be 295W.
17000W - 295W = 1405W (without running prime and loading the CPU at 100%)
No matter what the draw *should* be or theoretically is supposed to be. The bottom line seems to be it still is sucking up enough juice run this PSU out of its nominal range. Hence, the second 1500W PSU to split the load across two different 20A circuits and equalize the loads across 2 psu's so they are operating in their optimal ranges, not all out huffing and puffing
Also A rig of pretty similar spec to what I am building below drawing 2.2kW from the wall...... check readings at 07:00 mins into it. Granted he is running quad-sli ... but still way over the limit of a single ST1500W psu.
