My friend is a professional photo editor, he swears my Matrox. If you don't plan on gaming, then you don't need a 3d card, you need something that will show great color.

Are you editing photos professionally, or just for your own personal use? I have never been a fan of onboard video.....

its just for personal use, the system i'm building is gona have a dual core cpu, 2gb ddr2 ram, and w/e i pick out for a vid card, which i need it to be pci express

well really photo editing has a lot to do with the actual CPU, so I think you will be fine with whatever you get, especially with that processor/ram setup

Actually, Matrox is a VERY good videocard company, just not gaming, its up to par w/ nVidia Quadro Cards, and ATi FireGL Cards.
