CPUZ reading of memory??

Thread Starter
Hi,
I have the Corsair XMS3 DDR3 PC3-12800 1600Mhz 4GB RAM installed in my system.
But, everytime I run CPUZ, it reports my RAM on the SPD tab as PC3-10700 @ 667Mhz, whereas my RAM is actually running @ 784Mhz on the Memory Tab...
Any ideas?

The SPD tab just shows what the ram is coded to run at and will never change. What matters is what the memory tab shows the actual memory speed to be, which in your case is DDR3 1568.

It's reporting the stock speed and each JEDEC profile on the SPD tab. The memory tab will show your actual speed.

Ok.. Cool ..
One more thing, while stress testing, RealTemp reports around 60C at load, whereas HWMonitor reports around 70C
Which one to believe?

Realtemp is probably estimating off distance to tjmax, HWMonitor is probably reading off the motherboard sensor. Personally, I believe the motherboard sensor over guesstimated calculations. In your case, it's also the higher reading, so it's the safer one to go with anyway.
