Can you take a screen show of your port forwarding?

SHould say something like port 80 to 80 (TCP ONLY) to the IP address of your server. And enable.

http://www.networklab.co.uk/cmodem/linksys.html

(8080 is a management port yes - someone mentioned that up there.)

WAN = Wide Area Network a.k.a. the Internet. You want to forward the port to your Local Area Network(LAN) IP address.

If you disconnect your router and hook up your server directly to the cabel modem (and set it to dynamic IP, etc)... What IP does it get hooked right up to the router? (Write it down.)

Then set it back to static and hook your router back up, etc.

Then post IP number here you wrote down.

Also, post the exact model number of your router

What model is it? (I get what you are saying now about that...)

(I can't see you... HTTP or FTP.. or ping.. Something is at that IP number.. 19 hops away.. heh)

For my linksys, I go to status page to get the IP number.

I just threw this up over a few mins.. http://24.18.126.40/

I have actually never setup through a home router, only through big CSM switches, etc.. heh. Glad that info has some day to day knowledge.
